  1. Michael Moore's 'Capitalism: A Love Story' challenges many aspects of American life

    Comments Blog
Critics are mostly positive about a movie that uses AIG, Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger and even Jesus Christ to help prove Moore's theory that capitalism is hurting America....

  3. Poll: Do you think Oscar voters will spurn Michael Moore's 'Capitalism: A Love Story'?

    Gold Derby
An Oscar nomination for Michael Moore's "Capitalism: A Love Story" isn't guaranteed. Yes, sure, the rabble-rousing filmmaker won the Academy Award for best documentary of 2002 for "Bowling for Columbine" (famously shouting "Shame on you, Mr. Bush!" from...

  5. Shrewd DVD strategies reap rewards with Oscar nominations

    Gold Derby
So how did "A Serious Man" pull off that underdog Oscar nomination for best picture? Perhaps because it was among the first wave of DVD screeners shipped to academy members, long before the deluge of discs that arrived during the holiday season. Such an...

  7. 'Capitalism: A Love Story'

Some debate whether his distinct views qualify him as a documentary maker, but the ever-opinionated Michael Moore strikes again by returning to the theme of corporate America (which he also examined two decades ago in "Roger & Me") in this look at the current impact of big business on everyday people.

  11. "Capitalism: A Love Story" Review and Moore Interview

<img src="http://www.dc50tv.com/media/alternatethumbnails/story/2009-10/49618028-05130526.jpg" alt="Capitalism" align="left" hspace="5" vspace="5"/>Among all of the filmmakers out there in the world today, it's hard to find one who gets as much attention as Michael Moore (although, Roman Polanski did find a way to steal some headlines this week). I love a rabble rouser, so the publicity stunts and promotional avalanche don't bother me too much. Plus, you have to admit, when Moore releases a movie, it's an event with the ability to start a debate about our country, who we are and what we value, which is the whole point of Capitalism: A Love Story.
In his latest diatribe (and I say that with love), Moore attacks America's fascination with capitalism and the results of economic policies that stretch back to the beginning of time. Most of all, he points a spotlight on corporations and CEOs who are taking advantage of employees and customers, showing little regard for right and wrong and generating profits without a conscience.

Michael Moore has a new film out titled 'Capitalism: A Love Story'; and guess what local business is featured in this film but Hershey Co. He talks about Hershey Co. taking out insurance polices on their employees and then cashing the benefits of the policy when the employee dies.
