2. Where you've seen Marley Shelton

Where you've seen her
With 19 years in the business, Marley Shelton has played a wide range of roles, especially lately: "In the last couple of years, I was a lesbian anesthesiologist who is attacked by zombies [in both 'Grindhouse' movies], a basketball coach/nun [the upcoming 'Our Lady of Victory'], a hard-nosed FBI agent [TV's 'Eleventh Hour'] and a vagabond hiker/possible murderer ['A Perfect Getaway']." She calls her two films with Robert Rodriguez ("Sin City" and "Grindhouse" installment "Planet Terror") particularly inspirational to her. "I've learned so much from him. He's such a limitless artist. He writes, directs, shoots, edits, designs props. When your leader does that, it's like, 'Well then, why should I limit myself?' He instills a feeling of 'Why not?' "

The pristine English countryside once again prepares for an invasion of plague-infected hordes in this Friday's sequel to "28 Days Later," though this time it's "28 Weeks Later." But don't think of it as simply a horror movie…it's also an educational experience.

  22. Grindhouse

"Grindhouse" comes off as more theme park ride than movie— and that's meant as a compliment. Be warned: A ticket buys moviegoers more than two back-to-back movies (Robert Rodriguez's "Planet Terror" and Quentin Tarantino's "Death Proof"). "Grindhouse" turns local suburban multiplexes into run-down, seedy bum hotels, churning out a crass, exploitative and balls-out-fun movie experience, complete with fake trailers for crass, exploitative and balls-out-fun movies audiences will be dying to see next.
