3. 'The Bourne Legacy'

Another covert operative plots against the agency that apparently wants to eliminate him in this expansion of the screen franchise based on Robert Ludlum's novels. Succeeding Matt Damon in the series, Jeremy Renner builds upon the action-movie cred he started to establish in "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol," playing the operative who decides to turn the tables on his pursuers with the help of a similarly targeted government doctor (Rachel Weisz).

  11. 360

These are the hardest reviews to write. I’m watching a movie that’s easy on the eyes, because there’s great cinematography. We see stories set in Paris, London, Rio, and the U.S. There are plenty of great shots. There’s a great soundtrack, and a superb cast that includes Ben Foster, Jude Law, Rachel Weisz, and Anthony Hopkins.

  13. '360': Globe-hopping script just too contrived to fly ★ 1/2

Beyond the economic and political ramifications of globalization, consider its effect on movie stories: the cross-cultural slice-and-dice, a la "Babel," that too often passes for meaning and resonance. In "360," the new border-hopping feature from "City of God" director Fernando Mereilles, the faux profundity runs deep, infecting nearly every exchange in each vignette, whether the setting is Berlin; Bratislava, Slovakia; or Paris.

    *** (out of four)
