15. Faith Splits From "Sunday Night Football"

Faith Hill has been the voice that opens NBC’s ‘Sunday Night Football’ for six years, but the singer announced that she will no longer be singing the opening song to the NFL broadcast. “Amazing 2 have been part of SNF – an honor,” Hill posted to her Facebook and Twitter accounts. “I’ve just let everyone there know it’s time 2 let someone else rock the open. Difficult decision. Kinda emotional. Love all u guys at SNF – I’ll b watching!!!” Hill’s rendition of ‘Waiting All Day for Sunday Night’ was used kicked off every Sunday night NFL game. Hill originally recorded the song — which is musically based on the Joan Jett classic ‘I Hate Myself for Loving You’ — in 2007, taking over from pop singer Pink. So far there is no word on who will be next in line to do the honors. But Hill’s relationship with the NFL goes back much further than 2007, according to Boot. In 1999 she sang the national anthem at the very first Tennessee Titans game at their newly-built stadium in Nashville, and followed that up by singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl in 2000.

  17. People's Most Beautiful: Taylor, Tim & Carrie Make List

People magazine's latest issue reveals their picks for the Most Beautiful Celebrities in 2013, and a few of country music's biggest stars made the cut. Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Tim McGraw were each recognized for their stunning good looks, but like everyone else, they admit they haven't always felt secure with their own appearance. "I'm pretty pale," Taylor confesses to People (quote via Lancaster, Pa. radio station WIOV). "In high school, I was insecure and thought it'd be cool to go to a tanning bed. Now, I just let it look the way it looks." Carrie admits that even though she has graced magazine covers and often appears on best-dressed lists, it took finding her soul mate to accept her true beauty. "I've spent a fair share of money on creams and makeup to help minimize my scars," the songstress reveals. "Then I met [husband] Mike Fisher. He made me feel loved and beautiful ... scars and all." Tim, the husband of beautiful Faith Hill, credits keeping up a rigorous workout regime and abstaining from alcohol with helping him look his best, and still downplays his rugged good looks. "Thank God for country music," he jokes. "That's my reaction, because I sure wouldn't be picked standing on the street corner. It's a good thing I've got a guitar in my hand up under the lights." Reba McEntire, who at age 58 still turns heads, is also named in a special Beautiful at Every Age feature. People's Most Beautiful issue will be on newsstands April 26.
