Just, all the sudden you’re hummin’ this melody and this hook just pops up there [laughs]. It’s pretty strange.”</em> Alan and Garth join hit songwriters John Bettis, Thom Schuyler and Allen Shamblin as this year’s inductees. They’ll be recognized during a dinner and induction ceremony held October 16<sup>th</sup> in Nashville. John Bettis is credited for writing songs such as George Strait’s “Heartland” and the theme song to the 1980’s show, <em>Growing Pains</em>. Thom Schuyler has written songs for Randy Travis, Clint Black and LeAnn Rimes among others.
