1. Happy Birthday Garth!

Garth Brooks was born 50 years ago today in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a seasoned country star he knows the ups and downs of the music business, and he says over the years he’s learned a lot about staying positive. “I think all of our happiness depends on ourselves. I don’t think we can find other people to make our happiness for us. And I think we learn that although we look real hard to get our happiness from other people, it’s gotta come from within.” Garth remains one of the top-selling solo artists of all time, second only to Elvis Presley, according to the RIAA.
