( Wesleyan University / January 7, 2013 ) Retired Wesleyan music professor Alvin Lucier is a noted composer of experimental music and sound installations. In 1969 Lucier released a recording of himself reciting a text entitled 'Am Sitting in a Room.' Lucier recorded himself, then recorded that recording in another room, and then recorded that recording in yet another room and so on. |
