    After toiling away for years in the basements and garages of Long Island, New York, The Sliders broke onto the rock scene in 2007 with their demo EP titled &quot;Eric & the Sliders." The band's first full-length album, produced by Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank, Jack's Mannequin, The Rocket Summer), was released in April 2011 and has met very positive reviews. The record is built on heartfelt coming-of-age tracks and is titled "City By the Sound," a name drawn from the foursome's experiences and escapades growing up in the suburbs of New York City. In the 11 songs of their album, The Sliders meld an eclectic mix of rock, funk, jazz and blues. With standout singles like "City by the Sound," and "Chasing After You," The Sliders are an essential addition to any music lover's library.
