  1. Who's Your Caddy?

Rapper Christopher "C-Note" Hawkins (Antwan "Big Boi" Patton of OutKast) claims possession of an estate on the fringes of the stuffy Carolina golf course where his dad used to caddy and allegedly racked up the all-time best round. This doesn't sit well with the conservative country club president (Jeffrey Jones), who liked things better when he could putt without scantily clad women shaking their junk in his peripheral vision.

Sooner or later in any Lou Donaldson show, the great alto man will arrive at the same line, and on Wednesday evening it came early: "Tonight, you're going to hear some real jazz--no Kenny G, no Najee, no any-G," Donaldson told the crowd at the Jazz...

'This right here is why I don't worry about being on the radio," Prince declared, surveying his madly swaying flock. No, Prince music doesn't get on the radio much these days, unless it's part of a Dusties format. But if the singer's righteous self-pity...

  23. A chorus worthy of approval at Disney

More than three weeks after its opening, the celebrations at Walt Disney Concert Hall have not ceased. Sunday night was the Los Angeles Master Chorale's turn. As a resident company of the Music Center family, the chorus is the only other company besides the Los Angeles Philharmonic to be able to call the new hall home. To its great good fortune, the Master Chorale gets the use of a fabulous audience magnet without having had to go through nearly as much fund-raising pain and suffering as the Philharmonic.
