Nearly thirty years ago, the Scottish band The Jesus and Mary Chain released its debut album,  "Psychocandy," one of the harshest yet catchiest rock albums ever to bludgeon a tape machine. The band's mix of apocalyptic feedback and girl-group songwriting paired rock's two competing impulses -- noise and melody -- in entirely new ways. The album remains beloved -- its single "Just Like Honey" closed out the film "Lost in Translation," whose star Scarlett Johansson later sang it with the band at Coachella in 2007. Now the band has announced a small run of tour dates celebrating the album's 30-year anniversary. The group, founded by brothers Jim and William Reid, will play "Psychocandy"...
