  2. Tim McGraw Lands New Record Deal

    <span style="font-size: small;">Big Machine Records made a major announcement as Tim McGraw has been added to the label&rsquo;s roster. The announcement was made during a press conference at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville by label head Scott Borchetta. Tim has already been hard at work on his next album. It's the start of the second phase of one of country music's most successful careers, and McGraw hopes he can regain some of the momentum he lost while fighting to end his "lifetime" contract with Curb Records. Though the two sides remain locked in a legal dispute, a judge last year freed McGraw to begin recording for a new label. Tim joins the likes of Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts at Big Machine.</span>

  4. Aldean Offers Opening Act Opportunity In Reality Show

    <span style="font-size: small;">Jason Aldean has been tapped to participate in a new E! reality singing contest that premieres July 9th on the network. Opening Act is the brainchild of American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe. In the show, producers will scour the internet for emerging artists and give them a chance to open for big-time acts like Jason, who says the opportunity is priceless for a new artist. &ldquo;What it does, I mean especially for a new artist, it gives you a platform to launch your career. You know, you&rsquo;re able to go in and play for more people in one night than you would play to in six months on your own, so it&rsquo;s a big deal.&rdquo; Other singers reportedly involved in Opening Act include Rod Stewart, Nicki Minaj and LMFAO to name a few. Jason&rsquo;s first gig as an opening act on a major tour was with Rascal Flatts on their 2006 Me &amp; My Gang tour.</span>

  5. Carrie Underwood to perform in Indianapolis Nov. 24

    Superstar Carrie Underwood announced this morning during her appearance on Good Morning America to promote her new album, Blown Away, in stores Tuesday, that she will launch a headline North American arena tour this fall, &ldquo;The Blown Away Tour.&rdquo; The tour will also include an international run of shows this summer sponsored by Olay, including her first-ever United Kingdom concert taking place at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London on June 21, which sold-out in 90 minutes.&nbsp; Additional international concert dates will be announced soon.

  9. New Rascal Flatts Album Available Now

    <span style="font-size: small;">Rascal Flatts&nbsp;highly anticipated new album Changed is now in stores. The album title seemed quite fitting for the band, since they admitted to having dealt with a lot of highs and lows over the years. &ldquo;It was really fun to make this record, I can&rsquo;t remember the last time we had so much fun doing a project. For us it was just one of those records that we couldn&rsquo;t have made a few years ago, you know? We had to have gone through all the things we&rsquo;ve been through in the past year and a half in order to make this record.&rdquo;Rascal Flatts worked with their longtime producer Dan Huff on the record, and the album&rsquo;s lead single &ldquo;Banjo&rdquo; is currently in the top ten on the country charts.</span>

    <span style="font-size: small;">Kenny Chesney will pay tribute to Lionel Richie as he is set to perform &ldquo;My Love&rdquo; with Lionel on The ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends concert. The song is featured on Lionel&rsquo;s new album Tuskegee, and Kenny was so excited to be a part of the project, that he apparently drunk-dialed Lionel. &ldquo;We&rsquo;d been over-served in red wine, I think, and I decided that I was gonna call Lionel and tell him I was gonna do the record. And then I did a really, not-very-flattering rendition of &lsquo;My Love&rsquo; on his voicemail.
