Oct. 2: Muse, 'The 2nd Law'

You're either a total Muse devotee or you think much of the band's catalog is garbage. Judging by the skepticism expressed over the bits we've heard from the new album so far, I wouldn't be surprised if those devotees yearning for more of that rock opera sound from the days of "Absolution" and "Black Holes and Revelations" are totally disappointed by the band's electronic experimentation on "The 2nd Law." Frontman Matthew Bellamy says that's influenced by "America's" "brostep" movement, and it might stray just a little too far from what the band does best. Here's to trying to keep an open mind. -- Jessica Galliart
