1. Diana Krall in Miami: 3 new songs we'd like to hear

Diana Krall’s arrival at Miami’s Arsht Center Tuesday night offers a departure. The singer-pianist’s performance is part of a tour in support of the album “Glad Rag Doll,” an October release on the Verve Records jazz label that was produced by T Bone Burnett, best known for the trail-blazing alt-country and roots rock of artists such as Roy Orbison, John Mellencamp, the Grammy- winning Allison Krauss/Robert Plant collaboration, and albums with Krall’s husband, Elvis Costello.

  3. 'American Idol' recap: Nicki Minaj is late for live top 10

If "American Idol" doesn't crown a female winner this year, it'll be a full-on crime. The women in the running are just so much better than the men. That couldn't have been clearer on Wednesday night, when the top 10 paid homage to past "Idol" winners by singing songs at some point sung by the former champs.

The long-time BMI songwriter was given several awards representing songwriting and publishing credits for more than 15 million air plays for some of Toby’s biggest hits. 13. Review: Jordan Wolfson's 'Raspberry Poser' a seductive visual poem

A translucent, animated condom filled with red candy hearts is an animated protagonist in Jordan Wolfson's marvelous video installation at REDCAT, the New York-based artist's solo debut in Los Angeles. Projected onto a white screen suspended on the diagonal in a white room carpeted in wall-to-wall white rug, the non-narrative video feels unmoored and adrift in a languorous state of liquid reverie. We soon float along with it.
