Bob Mercer

Music exec Bob Mercer (L), seen here with Otis Williams of The Temptations, died May 5 following a battle with lung cancer. Mercer signed the Sex Pistols and Queen among others while at EMI and also managed Roger Waters and Paul McCartney for a time. Up until his death he headed up "Now That's What I Call Music!;" the series of releases that compiles current hits sold more than 77 million albums. Mercer was 65.
