1. Concert review: Radiohead at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre

“It’ll get better with age,” Thom Yorke said, a tongue-in-cheek semi-apology after Radiohead had debuted the song “Full Stop” before a full house at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Ill.

11. Wayne Coyne at Estelles and Debonair last night?

Bucktown / Wicker Park
That's right. Wayne went for the classics last night in Wicker Park. He dropped into Debonair for their weekly Wednesday burlesque night and then Estelles to admire some artwork. Pretty good way to spend a Wednesday night in the ‘hood. You never...

13. Watch this now: Frank Ocean, 'Acura Integurl'

Frank Ocean's soon-to-be-rereleased album, Nostalgia, Ultra., is a grower. When I first heard it in March, it seemed like a better-than-average debut a few rare flashes of brilliance. But I wasn't bowled over. For every slick no-brainer ("Novacane," "Songs For Women"), there was a strange, off-putting decision lurking ("Strawberry Swing" samples Coldplay; "American Wedding" inexpicably reinterprets the Eagles' "Hotel California"). But the more time spent with Nostalgia, the more likeable Ocean becomes as a singer, and more importantly, a storyteller. Another encouraging sign: he hasn't slowed down in releasing new material.

Turn It Up
2.5 stars (out of 4) On a brief but revelatory 2010 tour with his other band, Atoms for Peace, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke got real, real gone. The singer with the self-serious reputation busted out dance moves that brought the somber,......
