A long-in-the-works Deep Purple tribute album will become more poignant following the recent passing of keyboardist Jon Lord. Re-Machined: A Tribute to Machine Head will be a part of a deluxe Deep Purple “Fan Pack” released by Classic Rock magazine on September 24. The 10-track set will feature reinterpretations of classic cuts such as “Smoke on the Water” (Santana), “Highway Star” (Chickenfoot), “Space Truckin’” (Iron Maiden) and “When a Blind Man Cries” (Metallica).
