  3. Why 'Modern Family's' Sofia Vergara won't wear a backless gown

Sofia Vergara is Cosmo's June cover girl, and inside she talks about her success on "Modern Family," setting a date with her fiance, Nick Loeb, her thoughts about whether she'll have another child and, on a fashion note, why she won't wear backless gowns: h<span id="tinymce" class="mceContentBody " dir="ltr">er bra size is 32F, she says, and she needs more support than would be possible with a backless dress. 7. TV picks: 'Incredible Crew,' Teen Titans, 'Doctor Who,' Lord Peter

<strong>"Incredible Crew" (<span class="runtimeTopic">Cartoon Network</span>, Thursdays).</strong> This single-camera teenage sketch comedy, created by Nick Cannon, premiered the last of its 13 episodes in mid-April, but they continue in rotation, are highly re-watchable and deserve your attention, whether or not you fit the target demographic. This is one of the most imaginative shows the year has produced -- absurdist, energetic, silly and smart, with high production values and a cast of talented performers locked in with one another from the get-go. Jeremy Shada, who is the voice of Finn on "Adventure Time," is, relatively speaking, the celebrity among them, but Shauna Case, Shameik Moore, Tristan Pasterick, Chanelle Peloso and Brandon Soo Hoo each brings something distinctive to the mix. Among skits with titles such as "Horrible Surprise Party," "Really Enthusiastic Snowman" and "Young Lady Gaga," there are ads for nonexistent products (like Sparkle Beard, a facial-hair play set for girls, and edible Cheat Sheet Tacos), musical numbers ("Doing Something Fun While Doing Something Boring," "Putting Shaving Cream on Stuff," the power ballad "Thoughts Before Bed"), and an oleo of formally presented stunts like "Playing Instruments With Other Instruments," "Milk Harmonica" and "Punch Bowl Jump Rope." (As in the green-slime tradition of "You Can't Do That on Television," things often get messy.)

  11. TV review: Unleashing 'Da Vinci's Demons'

Like its title character, "Da Vinci's Demons" prefers to flaunt rather than follow, flagrantly borrowing from film, television and video games to create something new, inarguably flawed, possibly revolutionary and certainly fun to watch.

  21. D.C. politicians fail to face up to U.S. income inequality

Both Republicans and Democrats say concern about the middle class is at the heart of the ongoing, vituperative debate over taxes, entitlements and fiscal discipline, but the political spat never seems to honestly address the gaping and growing class divide in the United States. As politicians in Washington slam one another over competing budget priorities, most avoid facing up to the disturbing question behind all the numbers: Is the American Dream temporarily stalled or permanently kaput?
