  1. Daum: Vassar vs. Westboro

The Westboro Baptist Church, best known for picketing military funerals because God hates a country that tolerates gay people (or something like that), is picketing my alma mater next week. Telana Starks was watching her niece play in a sandbox Monday afternoon in Lafayette Park when I asked if she was following the presidential campaign. She said she hadn't really been paying any attention, which was interesting because the candidates haven't been paying any attention to her either.
