Three weeks in and the Food Network's "Worst Cooks in America" still doesn't disappoint. On Sunday night's episode there were fires, saffron gelato, burnt burgers, and Carla Johnson from Long Beach proved once again, she's the best hot mess that reality food TV has ever seen.

  11. 'Rachael vs. Guy' finale recap: Dean McDermott wins!

After six weeks of sweat and tears, mishaps and triumphs in the kitchen, Dean McDermott was announced the winner of "Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-off," on Sunday night's finale episode. Woo hoo, "Daddy D!" He was clearly the favorite to win from the start, having been the only one with any culinary know-how. Let's take a look at how he beat fellow competitor Carnie Wilson in the finale.

  15. 'Rachael vs. Guy' recap: Food truck wars

The competition actually got serious on Sunday night's episode of "Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off." The show has been entertaining for weeks, but in terms of actual cooking, it doesn't come close to "Iron Chef" or "Top Chef." For the first time, the reality TV show turned into a real cooking competition when the remaining four chefs took over food trucks.

Wednesday night's super-sized episode of "Top Chef" let viewers and the contestants have a little fun on an Alaskan cruise. The remaining chefs packed their bags -- Stefan Richter packed what he calls his party pants -- and they boarded a cruise ship with chef Curtis Stone as a guest judge.

  19. 'The Taste' recap: Those auditions desperately needed seasoning

The blind taste auditions finally came to an end on Tuesday night's episode of "The Taste." Typically, the auditions are the best part of any competition. Those shows highlight the wackiest, worst, no-business-being-on-TV people for your entertainment pleasure. But I got a little bored with "The Taste." Watching judges Ludo Lefebvre, Nigella Lawson, Brian Malarkey and Anthony Bourdain wear the same clothing they did in the first episode, but pretend it was a different day, and send chef after chef home with no real reason left me wanting more, and frustrated with the show's premise.

  21. 'Rachael vs. Guy' recap: Daddy Dean McDermott is really a wizard

A bouncy house, water guns, balloon animals and screaming kids took over Sunday night's episode of "Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off," when the remaining five contestants were challenged with cooking and entertaining at two birthday parties for kids. Rico Rodriguez, that weird in a good way, kind of overweight, too smart for his age kid actor from "Modern Family," acted as guest judge.

  23. 'Top Chef' recap: Ding dong, Josie's gone!

Wednesday night's judgment table on "Top Chef" was a long time coming. The loud-mouthed, obnoxious ball of annoyance, otherwise known as Josie Smith-Malave, was finally given the boot. When Padma Lakshmi told her to pack her knives, I did a fist pump.
