Will Smith has had a mostly steady career in music and movies since breaking onto the scene in the 1980s as the Fresh Prince. As a student growing up in West Philadelphia, Smith teamed up with friend Jeff Townes and formed DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. The group's biggest hit was "Parents Just Don't Understand," which earned them the first Grammy for Best Rap Performance. Smith went on to star in NBC's "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air," which was loosely based on his life. He also met his wife Jada Pinkett through the show.
