<b>Logline:</b> A serial killer (James Purefoy) escapes from prison and immediately gets up to his old, bloody tricks. Kevin Bacon plays Ryan Hardy, the former FBI agent who literally wrote the book on the killer, and helped put him away a decade ago, who is pulled into the investigation only to discover that from prison, the killer has managed to create a network of like-minded, ready-to-strike murderers.<br>

<b>Why we're interested:</b> Whatever dark part of Kevin Williamson's mind taunted and terrified us with the original "Scream" film has resurfaced for this compelling, surprising new show -- with no trace of his trademark teen angst. It's downright upsetting, in a good way, and we can't wait to see Bacon in this boozy but brilliant role.<br>
