No, really. Created by Elzie Crisler Segar, Popeye debuted in the funny pages in 1929 and has appeared in pretty much every mode of entertainment since. The movie is definitely worth the watch if for no other reason than to see a giant-forearmed man punch a giant octopus repeatedly.
