I hate the thought of Connecticut sending a Republican to the United States Senate. The last time we sent a Republican was back in 1982 when Lowell Weicker won the nod. He was still a Republican then, albeit a liberal. There aren't any of those left. They all retired and are living on their fat pensions and medical care courtesy of us taxpayers.
If the Republicans gain control of both houses of Congress, the last four years will look like a campfire singalong. Linda McMahon is not a bad person. In fact, her Republicanism is certainly more progressive than in the heartland, but she will have to follow in lockstep or be shut down at every opportunity.
Clearly, Linda wants to be elected to something, but not just anything. She wants to be elected to something big.
