WHAT TO WATCH FOR
SHABAZZ STATUS: Shabazz Napier played 34 minutes vs. Pitt despite his shoulder injury. He had a lot of rest this week, and the hope is he can play more like himself in this game. However, the pain still seems to be there.
REFLECTION IN REBOUNDING: On paper, this is a rebounding match the Huskies can win. Rutgers, like UConn, is guard-heavy. Therefore, this is a rebounding match the Huskies must win.
PICK-N-ROLL BLUES: UConn's defense broke down against Pitt's pick-and-roll, so you can bet Rutgers will run it plenty, and has the three-point shooters to make it work. UConn will have to show improvement.
MEMORIES: Rutgers win over UConn last January, in Jim Calhoun's return from suspension, was a low point of 2011-12, and sent the Huskies spiraling out of the Top 25.
SNEAKERS WEEKEND: UConn coaches will wear sneakers with their suits to draw attention to the Coaches vs. Cancer program. Fans can donate $5 by texting the word "Coach" to 20222 through April 9.
