Doors open at 11 a.m. and bingo starts at 1 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for a nine-pack. Specials games will be available. Extra packs will also be available. The kitchen will be open for the event.
Mount Zion Church to hold yard sale
Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Rohrersville will hold a yard, bake and sandwich sale Saturday, Oct. 1, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall.
Country ham sandwiches, homemade soups and baked goods will be available for sale. Furniture, children’s clothing, toys and other items will be offered at the yard sale.
Proceeds benefit the Mount Zion Needy Family Fund. The Friendship Hall is at the intersection of Md. 67 and Locust Grove Road in Rohrersville.
Ruritan to hold tractor pull
Rohrersville Ruritan will hold a garden tractor pull Sunday at 1 p.m. at Rohrersville Ruritan Community Park. Parking and admission are free. Proceeds will go toward the upkeep of the park. Food will be available. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. For more information, call J.R. at 240-818-1038.
Horse council to hold benefit ride, auction
Washington County Horse Council will hold a judged ride and silent auction Saturday, Oct. 1, at 9:30 a.m. at Washington County Agricultural Education Center off Sharpsburg Pike.
The Saddle Up for St. Jude Horse Trail Ride will provide skill opportunities and proficiency challenges for the horse and rider. A silent auction will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. while the trail is open.

Seven farms to celebrate Alpaca days this weekend
Seven area alpaca farms will be open to the public to celebrate National Alpaca Farm Days on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Husbandry, breeding, farm setup, fiber production, alpaca products, showing, and marketing are topics which will be covered over the weekend. Breeding quality and pet/fiber quality alpacas will be available sale, as well as many alpaca products.

Blue Ridge Riding club to hold horse show
The Blue Ridge Riding Club invites local horse enthusiasts to attend its horse show Sunday, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at 8332 Mapleville Road near Boonsboro.
It continues on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 8:30 a.m.
There will be 63 classes available, including English, western, trail, youth, adult, green and miniature. Classes cost $6 per class.
Ribbons will be awarded to sixth place.
