Howard David Needy, 96, of 449 Guilford Ave., Hagerstown, Md., passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Broadmore Senior Living at Hagerstown.
Born Wednesday, Oct. 4, 1916, in Washington County, Md., he was the son of the late Everitt Needy and the late Nina (Snyder) Needy.
He was a farmer all of his life.
He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Chewsville, Md., since 1933.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Ethel Needy of Hagerstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Liela May Needy, Mable Catherine Needy and Nora Gladys Winders; and brothers, Hubert Samuel Needy, Leonard Richard Needy, David Franklin Needy, Raymond Edward Needy and an infant brother.
Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Linda Warehime officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Interment will be in Boonsboro Cemetery, Boonsboro, Md.
