Jean C. (Turner) Shank, 58, of South Artizan Street, Williamsport, Md., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center of Hagerstown.
Born Feb. 6, 1954, in Smithsburg, Md., she was the daughter of David A. Turner of Hagerstown and the late Geneva W. (Doyle) Turner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. "Bill" Shank, Oct. 24, 2010.
She was a graduate of Smithsburg High School class of 1972.
She was employed over the years by Interstate Group and Burger King, both of Hagerstown.
She was a member of St. James Brethren Church and a former member of Funkstown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Stanicek and husband, Andrew, of Williamsport; two sisters, Kelly Jacobson of Florida and Deb Delauter of Georgia; one brother, David W. Turner of Clear Spring; grandchildren, Kristiana and Alexander; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Hagerstown Bible Church with Pastor Dale Carver officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg, Md.
Memorial donations may be made to the family in care of Michelle Stanicek, 11311 Greenberry Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
