JoAnn S. Lowry Haskins of Ravenna, Ohio, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Meritis Medical Center near Hagerstown, Md.
Born Aug. 31, 1936, in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James Everett Boyle Lowry and Pauline Edna Haskins. She was a graduate of McKinly High School in Canton and worked as a secretary prior to her retirement. At the time of her passing, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ravenna.
JoAnn was married to Richard E. Huffman and later to Charles Richard Haskins. She is survived by two children, Jodi Clapp and Charles Haskins; grandchildren, David T. Clapp, Jamie Clapp, Jessie Clapp and Samantha Clapp; brothers, James W. Lowry and wife, Mattie, of Hagerstown, Md., and William D. Bell of Canton. Also surviving are four nieces, four nephews and 30 great-nieces and great-nephews in Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Illinois, Indiana and California; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Chell of Ravenna.
Friends will be received at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ravenna, from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, with funeral services at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dan Caruso officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made in JoAnn's name to the Portage Animal Protection League, 8122 Infirmary Road, Ravenna, OH 44266.
