Civil War lecture at museum Sunday
Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in City Park will offer a Civil War lecture Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
“Hearts at War: Civil War Valentines and Love Letters from the Collection of the Museum of the Confederacy, Richmond, Va.” will be presented by Museum of the Confederacy Educator Kelly Hancock. A book signing by Jessica James will also be offered.

Area church to host dinner
Emmanuel United Methodist Church on Summit Avenue in Hagerstown will host a ham and turkey dinner Saturday, Feb. 23, from 1 to 6 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $3 for those ages 3 to 10. Children ages 3 and younger will be admitted free.
Alumni games
Williamsport High School will host an alumni men’s basketball doubleheader on the evening of Saturday, March 9.
Former senior varsity letter winners are invited to play. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Geraldine Andrews Medical Fund. Eligible alumni interested in playing should contact former boys’ basketball coach Kevin Murphy at 301-991-2166 or send an email to kjmurphy@myactv.net.
