Virginia "Ginny" Coyler, 84, of Woodburn, Ore., died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013.
Ginny was born to Boyd and Vallie (Steed) Snapp. She graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1948. In May 1960, she married John Monrow Coyler in Virginia (he died in 1999); they later moved to the Woodburn area.
Mrs. Coyler was very involved in her community. Although she was mostly a homemaker, she enjoyed doing volunteer work.
She was a volunteer tutor for Chemeketa School, the city of Woodburn Dial-A-Ride program, Meals on Wheels, Red Cross and Salem Hospital. When she wasn't doing volunteer work, she was out in nature, bird watching; attending her church, Woodburn United Methodist; or doing a little dancing.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and is survived by her two sons, John and Jeff; her sister, Peggy Hildebrand of Hagerstown, Md.; and two grandchildren, Jonathan and Kathryn.
Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery next to her husband. Services are private.
Arrangements were handled by Cornwell Colonial Chapel, Woodburn.
