Walter Woodrow Miller, age 95, of Warfordsburg, Pa., died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown, Md.
Born March 16, 1917, in Amaranth, Pa., he was the son of the late Jacob and Mary Magdeline Potts Miller; and the husband of the late Marie B. Fletcher Miller, who died March 5, 2003.
He attended Oak Grove School, and was a graduate of Warfordsburg High School.
He was a self-employed farmer, and had been an employee of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda Bednarski of Martinsburg, W.Va., Kay McMillan of Osage Beach, Mo., and Debra Miller of Warfordsburg; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
A service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 11 a.m., at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Md. Dr. Mark Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
