LC Beekeepers to meet
The Lincoln County Beekeepers, Inc., will meet Monday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Extensin Office, 104 Metker Trail, Stanford.
LC Republican Party to meet
Lincoln County Republican Party will have its monthly meeting Tuesday, April 9 from 7 to 8 pm. We meet at the First Southern Community Arts Center in Stanford.
LC Health Department to offer free quit smoking class
The Lincoln County Health Department is offering the Cooper/Clayton Method to stop smoking. This is a 13-week support group with weekly meetings, once a week. The class is free and the nicotine patch will be provided free as well. Class starts April 23rd and will be every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Day class provided upon request. This is for anyone working or living in Lincoln County. Registration required by calling Lee Ann Taylor at the Lincoln County Health Department at (606)365-3106. Space is limited. You can be a non-smoker!
AARP Group to meet
The Garrard County AARP Chapter will meet Tuesday, April 16 at noon at Ryan’s Steakhouse in Richmond. The cost of the optional meal will be the responsibility of the participant. If you are 50 years of age or older, you are invited to attend.
Relay For Life team to hold softball tournament
Fort Logan Hospital is sponsoring a softball tournament to raise money for its Relay for Life Team on April 11-12-13 at Crab Orchard Elementary School softball field. LC Democratic Women’s Committee to meet

Fraternal Order of Police to hold golf scramble
Fraternal Order of Police Fort Logan Lodge No. 84 will host a golf scramble Monday, April 22 beginning 10 a.m. at the Dix River Country Club. Cost is $50 per person or $200 per team to play. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, third, hole-in-one, longest drive and closest to the pin. Food and drinks will be provided.
