Building Bridges FRC Advisory Council to meet
The Building Bridges Family Resource Center will have an Advisory Council Meeting on Tuesday, April 9 at 8:30 a.m. at Stanford Elementary. Meetings are open to all.
Nature Reliance School
A Nature Reliance School with Craig Caudill will be held Thursday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Garrard County Extension Office Craig Caudill has spent a life time outdoors. He is director of Nature Reliance School with headquaters in Winchester, where teaches survival and related topics in the Eastern United States. He works for Dan's Depot.com as a blogger/vlogger on similar topics. Craig is a certified naturalist through the Kamana program. There is no charge for this meeting! We will hiking around the trail behind the Extension Office so please wear appropriate footwear.
KY Pride Trail Pickup Day
There will be a KY Pride Trail Pickup Day at Cumberland Falls on April 6. Participants will meet in the visitor's center at 9 a.m. and there will be a picnic at the pavilion at the falls at 2 p.m. For more information, call (606) 528-4121.
Hettmansperger’s Country Time Greenhouse Tour
Everyone is welcome to join the Gardener’s Group for an evening tour on April 13, 6 p.m. at the farm of Jay and Barb Hettmansperger, located just past Mintonville in Pulaski County. We will spend the evening learning how their operation functions throughout the year and get advice on growing, planting and selling as well as learning about heirlooms from one of the less than a hundred certified seed technologists in the country. City of Crab Orchard to hold Spring Clean-up Days
The City of Crab Orchard will have Spring Clean-Up Days for RESIDENTS WITHIN CITY LIMITS on Monday and Tuesday, April 8 and 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Two dumpsters will be located behind City Hall and all items with the exception of tires, appliances, batteries, paint cans, hazardous waste products, or dead animals will be accepted. LC Health Department to host Diabetes Self Management series
The Lincoln County Health Department will have part two in a three-part series for its Diabetes Self Management series. It will be held Thursday, April 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the health department basement conference room. This is a great educational series regarding diabetes management. Anyone is welcome to attend.
