Cuba: Sierra Club tour to feature cultural, educational exchanges

The Los Angeles chapter of the Sierra Club is leading its first excursion to Cuba in conjunction with Explore International. The 15-day trip includes a full schedule of cultural and educational exchanges with the Cuban people. A special emphasis will be on the ecology and environment, particularly Cuba’s efforts to safeguard its diverse habitats. Stops include Havana and the San Jose Craft Market and Art Center; Santiago de Cuba; Baracoa, Cuba’s oldest city; the World Heritage sites of Camaguey, Trinidad and Cienfuegos; Vinales and Las Terrazas Nature Reserve.
