Juergen Klinsmann's son helps U.S. win youth tournament title

The U.S. under-18 national team won the Vaclav Jezek Memorial Tournament in the Czech Republic on Saturday behind a familiar name with Jonathan Klinsmann, son of World Cup Coach Juergen Klinsmann, pitching the shutout in goal. Mukwelle Akale scored the game’s only goal in the 47th minute and was named the tournament’s top player while Klinsmann was named the top goalkeeper. Klinsmann, 17, who is entering his senior year at Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, trained at the youth academy in Stuttgart -- where his father once played -- before the tournament.
