The long awaited opening match for the Seattle Sounders is just a few hours away.
The Sounders flag is flying high over the Emerald City at the top of the Space Needle which has been lit up in the Sounders' colors.
It's in anticipation of today's inaugural game against the New York Red Bulls.
The Sounders is Major League Soccer's 15th team -- so far the team has sold more season tickets than any other MLS club in the league's 13 year existence.
There's a rally before the game and parade from Occidental Park to Qwest field starting at 4:30 pm.
Police will be closing Occidental Avenue South, between South King Street and South Royal Brougham Way from 4:30 pm until 9 pm.
