Search and rescuers have called off their search for a missing man near Kirkland's Marina Park.
Kirkland Police received a 911 call about a man in the water calling for help. Several witnesses told police they heard a man yelling for help three times.
Kirkland Police, King County Sheriff's Office Marine Dive Unit, Seattle Police, and Mercer Island Police used boats to try to find the man. The U.S. Coast Guard searched by air for the victim.
Divers from the Sheriff's Office searched the dock area around the Kirkland Marina, but suspended their search until Tuesday morning. At that time Police say it will become a recovery operation. Authorities will rely on sonar equipment to locate the man's body.
Police say they recovered some clothing and possibly the victim's wallet on the dock.
