My name is Tara Dopler. I am 21 years old and was proposed to in October of 2010. I am planning on getting married on August 20 2011. I dont know if we will be able to have a very nice wedding due to medical bills, health conditions, and my fiance and I's low income parents. With parents help in the wedding budget is around $4,000 for everything. thats including the honeymoon. My fiance works full time and I work part time at Big 5 Sporting Goods. We are both in school and seeking careers. It is hard to know if we will be able to support ourselves when we get married. I just trust God that he will provide.
History: My fiance Ryan Reeves and I have known eachother for 21 years. Our parents met in church when i was just a baby. We grew up as family friends and thought nothing of him beyond friendship. Its amazing how God works. he moved to California when he was 17 which was very hard. He moved back at around 20 years old and sinse then we hit it off. I dont know if he beleives me but I have loved him my entire life. When we were little he would hold me while watching movies and he always told me that he was going to marry me someday. I had no idea that he was serious! So CRAZY!
Proposal: My perfect idea of a proposal was my very own. I will paste pictures below of this. We were on a trip to see Ryan's california lifetime friends. Some of his friends had a beutiful wedding on a cliff overlooking the ocean. A day later a couple friends, Ryan, and I walked Ryan's favorite beach called Oso FLaco. It was beautiful and one of the only days where it hadn't been raining. I picked up a sand dollar and one of the friends said it was going to be my lucky day. I didnt think anything of it. we started walking ahead on the beach when Ryan got down one one knee and said the sweetest things I have ever heard. Knowing me I started crying. It was a dream come true. Unbeleivable at first. It felt so much like a dream, especially with our low income. Anyway, the friends that came with us videotaped the entire thing, and now I have the momory my entire life. I am so very thankful for what God has done in my life. I just pray that he will provide for my wedding. It is very hard planning a wedding with a budget like ours. If there is anyway you could help that would be awesome!!! Thank you for this opportunity.
