In a scene that can only be described as similar to the introduction of the Big Three in Miami. Well, maybe not so much, but there is an energy surrounding Houston as dreams of a Super Bowl grow.
The Texans get back to work Friday July 27 as training camp begins with team meetings and then the practice fields will be calling on Saturday.
But before rolling up their sleeves, they got on the bus to spread good cheer around H-town.
Texans defensive end Tim Jamison says, "It's awesome. It’s a blessing to come out here and spend time with these children and giving back to the community."
Some kids shared what they got as gifts.
"I got a hat, some glasses, a notebook and pens."
"I got everyone's autograph!"
The Texans cheerleaders may have helped these kids come up with a cheer for the Texans but there's one star these kids want to see on the football field.
"It was the best thing ever."
Toro – Toro!
"Yes he is the best thing ever."
Those kids were not the only ones to let their feelings be known.
Texans defensive tackle Shaun Cody added, "I want to say to the fans of the Houston Texans, thank you for supporting us and get ready for a big year because we're going to the Super Bowl, baby."
While not as brash as Lebron James's infamous line of winning not one, not two...not seven championship’s, but Texans' fans will welcome the end result if it will bring the Lombardi Trophy to Houston.
