There's nothing like the sounds of a Southern California band in the summertime.
Saturday night, chill out at the Sugar Ray concert. The band performs at the House of Blues. There's nothing sad or blue about these boys promoting their sixth studio album "Music for Cougars."
Then check out Wayne's World at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Saturday night. Rapper Lil' Wayne hits the stage at the outdoor venue. He'll rap, but possibly also rock the stage. There's word Wayne's much talked about rock CD is still in the works and slated for release in November.
It's been awhile since the headliners for this next concert released a new CD, their music is considered classic. The Donnas, Blondie and Pat Benatar are in concert at the Arena Theater Sunday.
New in music, former CW star and Queen of Country Music Reba McEntire releases a new album. "Keep on Lovin' You" features McEntire's highest debuting single "Strange."
At the movies, another CW alum is in the spotlight. Former Gilmore Girl Alexis Bledel stars in "Post Grad." She's a girl fresh out of college that gets slapped with a serious dose of reality. She has a degree and that's about it after her dream job falls through. She teams up with her guy friend to find work, but finds much more along the way. "Post Grad" is rated PG-13.
