NEW YORK (KTLA) -- Rapper and actor 50 Cent is out of the hospital after being hurt in a car accident early Tuesday, his rep said.
The 36-year-old's SUV was rear-ended by a big rig on the Long Island Expressway, according to a website associated with him, ThisIs50.com.
A message posted on the site around 3 a.m. said: "50 Cent was in a bad accident tonight as his bulletproof SUV was rear-ended by a Mack truck on the LIE in NYC. He was put on a stretcher and taken to the nearest Queens hospital where they are currently running tests on his neck and back."
Photos of the rapper on a stretcher and wearing a neck brace also appeared on the site.
50 Cent's rep confirmed that he was taken to New York Hospital Queens where he was treated for "minor neck and back injuries."
The performer, who's real name is Curtis Jackson, is now out of the hospital and is "doing fine," his rep added.
His driver, Bruce Miller, was also injured.
Music website Complex Music reported that the driver of the big rig said the load in his truck shifted, causing him to lose control.
