PASADENA—A cable repairman is recovering from serious injuries after his truck was hijacked while he was working in the vehicle's crane basket, according to police.
The Charter Communications worker fell 20 feet to the ground early Tuesday after the crane slammed into trees and power lines.
The carjacking suspect, 21-year-old Edwin Ramos of Pasadena, was arrested several blocks away, officials said.
The victim's name was not released.
He was hospitalized in serious condition and was expected to survive, according to police spokeswoman Janet Pope Givens.
The extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
