Pink's, a family-run business located on the corner of Melrose and La Brea, has been in the same location since 1939 when Paul Pink started his hot dog stand. Specially made by Hoffy since 1939, Pink's hot dogs are all-beef with a natural casing that makes them snap when you bite into them. At the heart of Pink's fame is their chili, a recipe devised by Paul's wife and co-founder, Betty Pink.
Started by Paul Pink in 1939, the original Pink's was a large-wheeled pushcart on the corner of La Brea and Melrose that served an over-sized hot dog in a large warm bun, with mustard, onions and thick chili for only 10 cents each.
Since that time movie stars, well-known dignitaries, struggling musicians, businessman, housewives, and school children have savored Pink's famous chili dogs.

Located in Buena Park, Knott's Berry Farm has been in operation since 1920. Originally started as a family farm by Walter and Cordelia Knott, Knott's Berry Farm received its name from the family trademark, "boysenberry", developed in the 1930s. The theme park evolved after the success of Cordelia's chicken dinners and the opening of the Chicken Dinner Restaurant in 1940. Knott's Berry Farm is open from 10am to 6pm, Monday through Friday and offers extended hours on weekends and during the summer months. General admission tickets are $44.99 for ages 12 to 61 and $23.99 for juniors (ages 3-11) and those 62+. Online discounts are available for juniors and seniors. Until February 28th, Knott's Berry Farm offers $25 general admission tickets when you buy 2 or more tickets.
Also, you will also find Pink's at the newly renovated Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, courtesy of food service purveyor Delaware North. The airport location will offer a slightly abbreviated menu, but will include the International Dog, a new Pink's treat with chili, bacon, sauerkraut, shredded cheese and chopped tomatoes. This contest-winning recipe is courtesy of L.A. World Airports employee, Timothy Ihle. Pink's hot dogs are also available at the Hollywood Park Casino, the Bell Gardens Bicycle Club Casino, the Greek Theater and the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino (formerly the Aladdin Hotel) in Las Vegas.
