LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- After more than two years of marriage, actors Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are once again single.
Los Angeles Superior Court records show their divorce papers were finalized by a judge on Friday. Both filed divorce papers back in December 2010, citing irreconcilable differences.
"After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage," the couple, who wed in September 2008, said in a statement released through their publicist.
"We entered our relationship with love, and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated," they said.
Johansson, 26, and Reynolds, 34, were engaged in May 2008 and married in a private wedding four months later.
Johansson's recent credits include "Iron Man 2" and "He's Just Not That Into You."
Reynolds appeared opposite Sandra Bullock in "The Proposal" and stars in the summer blockbuster "Green Lantern."
Reynolds was named People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" last month. Around the same time, Johansson was named GQ's "Woman of the Year."
