SAN FRANCISCO—Cooking demonstrations and medical tips will be just some of the segments found on a new Bay Area television program focused on marijuana use.
The show "Cannabis Planet" will begin airing on San Francisco independent television station KOFY-TV Channel 20 at midnight Friday. The show will promote the benefits of recreational marijuana use, according to an article in the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper.
The show debuted on Los Angeles independent station KJLA-TV last year. It's estimated around 40,000 people tuned in to see the premiere of the show in Southern California.
According to the show's website, "Cannabis Planet" is scheduled to begin airing in Sacramento on KSPX-TV Channel 29 soon. An employee of KSPX-TV said they had no direct knowledge of the show's future airing, as "Cannabis Planet" had yet to officially be added to their lineup.
