Senior Randle Schwecke went one for two with a solo home run in the fifth inning and junior center fielder Greg Cain went two for three with a walk and drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh to lift host Gahr (10-1).

Senior Ricardo Jimenez hit a grand slam in the fifth inning and then came in later that inning to get the save as the relief pitcher for visiting Garfield (2-9). L.A. University is 2-8.

Mario Aluizo hit a home run and had two RBIs for Narbonne (4-7). La Mirada improves 8-3.

Senior Ryan Schlack went two for four with three RBIs and a solo home run and junior Andrew Zea went two for two with one RBI to lead visiting Long Beach Wilson (8-2-1).

Dylan Doukakif (1-0) struck out seven and allowed three hits, one earned run and no walks to earn his first win, Chris Shaefer had three RBIs and Sonny Wohn added three hits and two RBIs for Mira Costa (5-4-1). Ryan Hotchkiss went two for four with three RBIs for Oxnard Pacifica (2-9).

Dylan Gaughen hit a solo home run and had two RBIs and two runs scored to lead host No. 11 Simi Valley (10-1). Loyola is 8-4.

CONDOR LEAGUE

Dunn 3, Thacher 2 (9 innings)
Gabe Aronson drove in Kevin Kline with two outs in the top of the ninth inning to give visiting Dunn (5-2, 3-0) the win. Kline (3-1) struck out nine in nine innings, allowing eight singles and two earned runs, and went two for four with a double and an RBI. Thacher is 1-1, 1-1.

Santa Margarita 1, Mater Dei 0
Senior Matt Cusick had a run-scoring double in the first inning and senior Michael Gaggioli (4-1) pitched a one-hitter to lift host No. 6 Santa Margarita (6-4, 2-0). Junior Blair Dunlap singled in the first inning, then stole second base and scored the only run for the Eagles. No. 8 Mater Dei is 8-4, 2-1 in league.

St. John Bosco 2, Servite 1 (9 innings)
Andrew Chavez and Michael Beltran were hit by pitches in the bottom of the ninth and scored on a throwing error off a groundball hit by Rene Chavez to lead host St. John Bosco (9-3, 1-1) over No. 12 Servite. Andrew Chavez (2-1) pitched relief in the top of the ninth with two Servite runners on and retired three straight to earn the win. St. John Bosco starting pitcher Brian Bruce and Servite starter Brad Meyers each pitched eight scoreless innings.

SOUTH COAST LEAGUE

Capistrano Valley 12, Mission Viejo 2
Jason Corder struck out eight in five innings of shutout pitching, and host No. 10 Capistrano Valley (8-2-1, 3-1) took advantage of seven walks and six errors to move into a tie for first place in the South Coast Leauge with No. 15 Misison Viejo (6-4, 3-1).

Pitcher Chris Jones (3-1) of Mission Viejo was ejected in the third inning after saying something to the first-base umpire. That ejection, along with the errors, led to the Diablos’ downfall.

Porter finished with two hits, and John Kennedy had a two-run single.

Michael Cole drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring winning pitcher Andrew Romine (3-0), who struck out three in two innings for host Trabuco Hills (6-5, 1-3). Dana Hills is 1-3 in league.

In the first game, Pablo Cortes (1-1) struck out 11, allowing five hits and one earned run, in a complete game, and freshman Javier Estrada went three for four with four RBIs in his first varsity game for Alhambra (9-3). Winning pitcher Cesar Martinez (3-0) struck out seven and Jeremy DeVore was two for three with two RBIs for Alhambra in the second game. Beverly Hills is 2-8.

Bishop Amat 5, Garden Grove Pacifica 0
Randy Serrato (1-0) pitched a four-hitter with five strikeouts and Steve Martlaro hit a home run and had a double for Bishop Amat (6-2) at Pacifica (1-8). Ryan Dowell singled twice and Matt Lawhorn doubled, tripled and scored a run for the Lancers.

Cerritos Valley Christian 9-13, Murrieta Calvary Chapel 2-2
David Barrett had a home run, a single, a run scored and four RBIs for Cerritos Valley Christian (7-3) in the first game. Teammate Matt Struiksma (3-1) pitched five scoreless innings to earn the win in the second game.

Grace Brethren 20, Murphy 0 (7 innings)
Shaun Stephans went four for five with four RBIs and three doubles, Jeff Hubler went three for five with four RBIs and a double, and winning pitcher Ryan Avena (1-1) threw the last four innings, allowing one hit, and combined with Jason Colegrove for the shut out for host Grace Brethren (8-3, 1-1). Brian Solomon was three for five with two RBIs and Shaun Hockenberry and Ryan Gallagher added two hits each for Grace Brethren.

King 4-0, Redlands East Valley 3-8
Ryan Bonds (1-1) pitched six innings, allowing two hits and striking out four, to earn his first win for host Redlands East Valley (7-3) in the first game of the doubleheader. Levi Garrett went two for four with two RBIs and Bryant Hollingsworth (2-0) pitched a complete game for King (7-2) in the first game.

Lompoc Cabrillo 11, Montclair Prep 7
Chris White hit a home run and had a three-run triple and Matt Ramsey went two for three with an RBI triple for host Lompoc Cabrillo (5-6). Senior James Di Meo went two for four with four RBIs, including a double and a three-run home run in the fifth inning for visiting Montclair Prep (6-3).

Malibu 9, Kilpatrick 0
Justin Henry (1-0) pitched a five-hitter with three strikeouts and Brett Weinstock went four for four with two doubles, one RBI and three runs scored for host Malibu (5-5), which completed a triple play in the seventh inning to end the game. Kilpatrick is 5-4.

Mayfair 6-1, Crespi 0-2 (Second game, 9 innings)
Junior left-hander Adam McNaught threw a two-hitter with four stikeouts and three walks, junior right fielder Daniel Prieto went two for four with a double, one run scored and one RBI and junior first baseman Mitch Lander added two doubles, one run scored and one RBI to lead visiting Mayfair in the first game. Junior Shaunt Bedrosian went two for four with both RBIs for No. 1 Crespi in the second game. In the same game, sophomore pitcher Sean Camacho picked up his first win, closing for the last two innings, for the Celts. Mayfair is now 7-5. Crespi is 10-1.

Host Nogales improves to 8-2-1.

Pacific Hills 6-12, Brethren Christian 0-8
Lauren Green (2-1) pitched a three-hitter and struck out 15 for visiting Pacific Hills (5-3) in the first game. Teammate Burke Selness went three for four with a two-run home run and four RBIs. Brethren Christian is 1-9.

Redlands 14, Orange 2
Junior Matt Norris and senior Shaune Jimenez each hit a grand slam in the first and second innings, respectively, to lift visiting Redlands (9-1). Orange is 4-5.

Ryan Vollkommer (2-0) pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing five hits and striking out three batters, in the first game and Kenny Murillo had three doubles and three RBIs in the second game for host San Gorgonio (8-2). Steve Creswell had two singles in the first game for Rim of the World (6-6).

Upland Christian 9-13, Bermuda Dunes Desert Christian 5-5
Andrew Carpenter had three doubles and a triple with an RBI and Travis Keith was three for four with a home run for visiting Upland Christian (9-1) in the first game. Teammate Tony Trabbie (2-0) was four for five with a grand slam, a two-run home run, seven RBIs, and pitched five innings with four strikeouts and no walks for the win in the second game.

Viewpoint 13-11, Rolling Hills Prep 4-1 (Second game, 5 innings)
In the first game, Greg Malkin went two for three with two triples and three RBIs for host Viewpoint. In the second game, William Blackman threw a three-hitter with three strikeouts for Viewpoint (8-1). Scott Rasak, Michael Papayans and Tory Frisina each hit doubles in the first game and Tim Dickens tripled in the second game for Rolling Hills Prep (5-3).

Justin Armijo had six strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings and was relieved by Steven Turner for the last 3 1/3 innings and Vance Albitz hit a double in the third inning to drive in the only run for host South Torrance (4-3-1, 0-1-1). Mira Costa (1-0-1 in league) tied the score in the seventh inning.

Freshman Michael Schwartz had a two-out single in the top of the seventh to tie the score for visiting Santa Monica (3-4-1), and teammate Cody Decker hit a home run. Hawthorne’s Arciniega had two doubles.

Senior Nick Casanova (4-0) pitched a four-hitter with 15 strikeouts in six innings, winning the 20th game of his career, the second-most in Anaheim Canyon school history. Senior Ryan Thompson, who has committed to Cal State L.A., was four for four with a double and two RBIs for host No. 3 ranked Anaheim Canyon (8-2, 3-0). Brea Olinda is 4-6, 0-3.

Joe Spiers went three for five with a two-run home run and four RBIs and Ryan Selden went three for four with a home run, a double and two RBIs to lead Canyon Springs (8-2, 2-1) to the upset of No. 16 Arlington (6-3,2-0). Spiers extended his hitting streak to 42 games and tied Nick Corbin of Maxwell for thesecond-longest hitting streak in state history. The state record is 43 games, set by JasonKendall of Torrance (1990-92).

After Jason Corder staked the Cougars to a 4-0 lead with a two-run homer in the top of the second off winning pitcher Andrew Bovich (4-0), San Clemente’s Jeff Parnes answered with a two-run shot in the bottom half of the inning.

The Tritons (8-2, 2-1) scored four more runs in the third, the final two coming on a two-out single by Rob Monderine, then added two unearned runs in the fourth to go ahead, 8-4, and chase Capistrano Valley sophomore right-hander Joe Zeller.

Parnes added a two-run double in the sixth to highlight a four-run inning.
