Jason Rodriguez had four hits, scored three times and drove in two runs and Jared Caraddick had two hits, including a three-run triple, for Alta Loma (10-11, 5-5). Matt Ochoa had two hits and drove in a run for Upland (3-7 in league).

Rancho Cucamonga 14, Los Osos 2
Corey Woodring was two for four with a double, two RBIs and one runs scored to lead visiting Rancho Cucamonga (15-6, 8-2). Travis Tartamella went two for two with a double and one run scored for Los Osos (12-8, 5-5).


Gardena Serra 4, Cathedral 1
Hector Compos went two for three with one run scored and David Leyva pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and one walk for host Serra (10-11, 5-2).

St. Monica 8, Cantwell Sacred Heart 7
David White went four for four with two doubles and two runs scored, Logan Gelbrich was two for three with three RBIs, including a two-run homer, and Taylor Gelbrich had the game-winning double in the bottom of the seventh for St. Monica (8-10, 5-2). The Mariners used two doubles, a hit batter and a throwing error to score three runs in the bottom of the seventh. Brandon Orona had a double, two stolen bases and three runs scored and for Chris Trujillo had a double and scored twice for Cantwell Sacred Heart (17-6-1, 7-2).


Buena 4, Santa Barbara 3
Brian Stevens (8-0) threw a five-hitter with 10 strikeouts and three walks for No. 22 Buena (19-3, 8-1). Colin Timmons and Stevens led off the fourth with back-to-back home runs for a 4-1 lead. Fred Vazguez (7-1) threw a five-hitter with two strikeouts and three walks for No. 24 Santa Barbara (16-3, 5-2), which got a two-run double Jeff Allen in the fifth inning to draw to within one run at 4-3. The teams play again on Friday at Santa Barbara with the league title on the line.
