Brandon Newton had two doubles, a triple and five RBIs, Frank Corpus had four hits and four RBIs and Steven Nuckolls had seven strikeouts over 3 1/3 innings for his first save to lead visiting South Hills (18-5, 9-2), which clinched the league title for the second straight season.

Matt Cole pitched five innings to earn the victory and Tyler Waite went one for two with two walks and three stolen bases and Brandon Mickleson hit a double to lead Walnut. Juan Garcia hit a triple for Rowland.
SAN GABRIEL VALLEY LEAGUE
Gahr 4, Downey 2 (11 innings)
Freshman Lemuel Johnson hit a one-out triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by senior Randle Schwecke and freshman Joe Park hit a two-out single, stole second base and then scored on a double by junior Eddie Murray in the top of the eleventh inning to lift visiting Gahr (19-6-1, 10-2-1).
SANTA FE LEAGUE
La Salle 6, Murphy 5 (8 innings)
Andrew Saldana had a sacrifice fly to score Ray Torres for the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning and Alec Edwards (2-0) had seven strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings to lead visiting La Salle (17-6, 8-0) over Murphy (3-11, 2-5).
SEA VIEW LEAGUE
Foothill 6, Irvine 1
Cole St. Clair (11-0) pitched a three-hitter, striking out nine, and Trevor Tibbetts went three for four with one RBI, one runs scored and one stolen base to lead visiting No. 10 Foothill (21-4, 11-3). Irvine is 6-20, 3-11.
Woodbridge 6, Newport Harbor 0
Mike Anderson (3-1) pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts and went two for three with two RBIs for host Woodbridge (12-12-1, 8-6). Newport Harbor is 7-7 in league.
Chino 18, Diamond Bar 8
Vince Vadney went three for three with four runs scored, two RBIs and two triples and Justin Jacobs had two hits, including a bases-loaded double to finish with four RBIs to lead Chino (16-9, 8-6). Crispin Tarango went two for four and Brett Siegmund went two for three with one RBI for host Diamond Bar (8-6 in league).
Damien 13, Ayala 10
Senior right-hander Andrew Liebel (4-2) pitched a two-hitter with six strikeouts in four innings of relief and senior Kris Casteneda went two for four, hitting the first home runs of his career with one solo home run in the fifth inning and a three-run home run in the sixth inning to lift visiting Damien (15-8, 9-5), which was down, 10-5, going into the sixth inning. Chris Wilson went four for five with a solo home run and a double, Anthony Cusinano hit a solo home run in the first inning and Anthony Delgado hit a two-run home run to complete the scoring in the top of the seventh inning for Damien. Ayala is 7-7 in league.
