Robert Nichols went one for four inlcuding a double and had a run scored for Burbank (1-22, 0-15).

Jason Pfau scattered six hits and struck out 10 and the Centurions (19-6-1, 11-3-1) closed out the regular season with their seventh win in eight games. Casey Stevenson singled and scored on a Ryan Erickson ground ball in the third inning to give Saugus the lead. Thomas Milone was three for three with a sixth-inning home run that provided an insurance run. Canyon is 11-13, 6-9.

James Ferguson (5-0) pitched two scoreless innings to get the victory and No. 2 Villa Park (24-2, 14-1) scored seven runs in the top of the eighth inning, highlighted by Chris Berrey's bases-loaded triple and consecutive home runs by Mike Vass and Nathan Bridges. Mark Trumbo hit a solo home run and Mitch Bialosky hit a three-run home run for the Spartans, who swept three games this season from No. 5 Canyon (18-8, 10-5), including a 7-6 decision Tuesday that clinched the outright league title. Ryan Thompson went four for five, including two doubles, and scored two runs and Grant Green had three hits and two RBIs for the Comanches, who will be the league's No. 2 seed in the playoffs.

Jon Amaya had run-scoring double in the seventh inning for a 6-3 lead for Diamond Bar (17-9, 9-6), which clinched second place in the league. Brett Siegmund had home run in the fifth inning for Diamond Bar. Justin Jacobs had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in a run for Chino, which tied for third in league at 8-7 but lost the tiebreaker and was eliminated from playoff consideration.

Nolan Borden went five for five with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored for Dana Hills (11-15, 6-9). Borden's five hits set a Dolphin school record for hits in a game. No. 17 San Clemente finished in third place in league at 17-9, 9-6.

Joel Garcia (4-3) pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and Riley Ward hit a two-run double in the first inning in the upset for host El Toro (9-17, 4-11). The loss dropped No. 7 Capistrano Valley (19-6-1, 11-4) into a co-championship with Mission Viejo.

T.J. Mittlestadet hit a one-out bases-loaded double in the bottom of seventh inning to give No. 14 Mission Viejo (18-8, 11-4) the victory and a share of the league title with No. 7 Capistrano Valley. Mark Wilkerson (3-0) got the victory in relief.

Chris Mink (2-3) pitched a three-hitter and Sergio Corona drove in the tying and go-ahead run in the third inning for Artesia (14-12, 7-5). The Pioneers finished second in league. Mayfair (7-5 in league) will enter the playoffs as the third seed.

Villa Park senior catcher Casen Burwell drove in four runs and Mark Trumbo retired the final two Anaheim Canyon batters with the bases loaded to give the Spartans a 7-6 victory Tuesday and the outright Century League title.
Villa Park, ranked No. 2 in the Southland by The Times, had hoped to limit Trumbo's duties against the No. 5 Comanches (18-7, 10-4). Trumbo, a USC-bound right-hander, injured his right ankle two weeks ago and started his second straight game as the designated hitter. But after Canyon sophomore Grant Green cut the lead to one with two-run single in the seventh, Villa Park Coach Scott Luke called on Trumbo to close the game. After walking Lance Aponte on four pitches to load the bases, Trumbo got Jeff Branson to foul out to first and then struck out Mark Imanuel to end the game.
The Spartans (23-2, 13-1) rallied from a 4-2 deficit after two were out in the fifth inning. Kyle Cruikshank singled to left and Mitch Bialosky scored when the throw skipped through the legs of Canyon catcher Chris Morinello. Burwell, who gave Villa Park a 2-0 lead with a two-run double in the second, then blasted a two-run homer to left for a 5-4 lead. Villa Park sophomore shortstop Nathan Bridges added a two-run homer in the sixth to put the Spartans ahead, 7-4.
Matt Morris drove in Canyon's first four runs with a three-run homer in the third and a RBI double in the fifth.

Santa Margarita (16-9, 8-3) clinched at least a share of the title and the league's No. 1 playoff berth with the victory at home. Matt Cusick had one of six hits for Santa Margarita and drew a two-out bases-loaded walk in the fourth to give the No. 9 Eagles a 3-2 lead. Bishop Amat third-baseman Steve Martlaro was three for three, including a solo home run in the third that tied the score, 2-2. The Lancers fall to 15-8, 6-5.
