For El Toro (6-0), Darryl Best had 18 points and nine rebounds and was selected to the all-tournament team, Jonathan Johnson added 13 points and 10 assists, and Kelvin Kim had 12 points and was named the tournament's MVP. Northwood fell to 3-3.
Newport Harbor 40, Temecula Valley 36
Tony Yaghjian had nine points and Vinnie Nasca had four points and six steals to lead Newport Harbor (1-4). Ian Bryant had 11 points for Temecula Valley.
Etiwanda 71, Ocean View 44
Darren Collison had 25 points for Etiwanda (5-0) and was named the tournament most valuable player. Rashad Austin added 16 points and Jeff Pendergraph had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Ocean View (4-3) was led by Clint Amberry's 21 points.
Calabasas 76, Laurinburg (N.C.) 67
Calabasas guard Drew Housman led all scorers with 39 points, which was a career-high for the Harvard-bound senior.
Calabasas' Mark Einhorn had 16 points -- also a career-high -- and was, in addition to Housman, selected to the all-tournament team. Calabasas improved to 2-2.
