Brandon Evans scored 30 points for Paraclete (3-4). Paraclete led by 13 at the half and held on for the win. Josh Augur had 15 points for L.A. Baptist (1-1).

Pasadena Poly trailed by four with less than three minutes remaining, but freshman A.J. Talt pulled in a pair of key rebounds and putbacks down the stretch to boost the Panthers to the win. Archie Archibong led Pasadena Poly (1-0) with 14 points, and Johnny Harwood added 11. Oakwood is 1-2.
Providence 53, Valley Torah 51
Mark Azer had 22 points, including what proved to be the game-winning shot with ten seconds left, for Providence (3-1). Valley Torah is 0-1.
Summit View West 49, Pioneer Baptist 34
Kyle Roten made his first basket of the season and hit two key free throws in the final 1:30 to help break a 34-34 tie and lead Summit View West to its first win in two years.
Ryan Krusi recorded 21 points and 15 rebounds in the first win in two years for Summit View West (1-1). Teammate Erin Oberman had 15 points and six steals. Tammy Chambers and Sharon Cadiente each had 12 points for Pioneer Baptist (0-3).
